Please note that there are Additional Local Conditions  attached to any approved permit that must be read, understood and followed. These will be provided in conjunction with approved permits however are also available here for your convenience.

Alteration to Kerbing for Driveway Access

When planning to construct a driveway access to a property, you will need to complete an Authorisation to Alter Public Road form and submit to Council for approval. A letter will be sent advising if approval has been granted and any conditions that may need to be adhered to.

Electrical Cabling or Pipe Under Roadway

When needing to lay electrical cabling or pipe under a road way then the below form will need to be completed and submitted to Council for their approval. A letter will be sent advising if approval has been granted and any conditions that may need to be adhered to.

Special Event Permit

A Special Event Permit is required if you wish to use any Council or Community owned land to hold an event.

A Special Event Permit must be submitted to Council along with a copy of the hosts Public Liability Insurance showing coverage of a minimum of $10,000,000. 

The application will be assessed by Council and a letter will be provided advising if the approval has been granted and any conditions that may need to be adhered to.

Seed Collection

If an organisation wishes to collect seeds on Council owned land, a letter of request needs to be sent to Council. The letter should advise of the type of seeds that are proposed for collection, location and date.

The request will be assessed by Council and a letter will be provided advising if the approval has been granted and any conditions that may need to be adhered to. 

Tree Removal on Road Reserve

If requesting the removal of a tree located on Council's road reserve, the following application needs to be completed and submitted to Council.

The application will be assessed by Council and a letter will be provided advising if the approval has been granted and any conditions that may need to be adhered to.

Please note - This permit is not for the collection of dead wood from road reserves as it is prohibited to remove dead wood from road reserves under Native Vegetation laws. Fallen timber is imporant in the recycling of nutrients and can provied habitat for various organisms.

Tree Removal on Other Council Land

If requesting the removal of a tree located on other Council land, the following application needs to be completed and submitted to Council.

The application will be assessed by Council and a letter will be provided advising if the approval has been granted and any conditions that may need to be adhered to.

Authorisation to Undertake Works on Land Under Councils Care and Control

Overdimensional or Overmass Load Application

All requests for Overmass/Over-Dimensional Load permits now go through the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) via their website www.nhvr.gov.au or by phoning general enquiries 1300 MYNHVR (1300 696 487).

Rubber Tracked Vehicle Application

When requesting permission to transport a rubber tracked vehicle on Council roads the following application will need to be completed and submitted to Council.

The application will be assessed by Council and a letter will be provided advising if the approval has been granted and any conditions that may need to be adhered to.

Liquor Licences

If you are intending to host a party or organising an event where liquor will be sold, you are required to obtain a liquor licence.

Council must be given the opportunity to comment on the application, and therefore requires notification in writing from the applicant providing the following details :

  • Nature of proposed event
  • Venue
  • Date and time
  • Hours of operation

Council will then provide comment to the OLGC regarding the application.
